This book is a short account of the author's travels around the backroads of the United States with his wife. Reads like an 8th grader's diary - not particularly interesting if you're not in it. You can also enjoy the lack of editing and make a game out of circling its typos. Its only benefit is to compile a list of possible stops/RV parks if you're going to attempt the same trip.
The author almost a caricature of an Ayn Rand character, but I think he actually believes that humans are all perfectly rational, and there's no such thing as economic bubbles, and moving after a job loss is frictionless, and policies like minimum wage are an abomination...
If you're a 70-year-old white Republican Christian male who enjoys constant asides on the infallibility of Adam Smith's invisible hand and thinks Branson, Missouri is the absolute pinnacle of entertainment (seriously), you may enjoy this diatribe. Otherwise you may think, like me, that a more nuanced view may have been prudent.
